Terms & Conditions

Our products
All Boujon Bakery biscuits, cakes and bakes are handmade to order. As they are handmade, there may be small natural variations in colour, size, icing detail and finish between the images shown on our website and the item you receive; this is part of the handmade nature of our products, not a fault.
Allergen and ingredient information
Our products are made in a kitchen that handles nuts, gluten, dairy, egg and other allergens, and cross-contamination is possible even where a specific allergen is not a listed ingredient.
- Full ingredient and allergen information is available on request, please contact us at info@boujonbakery.co.uk before ordering if you or the recipient have a food allergy or intolerance
- It is your responsibility to inform us of any allergies before ordering; we cannot guarantee any product is completely free from a specific allergen
Placing an order
- Orders are placed through our website checkout (Shopify) and are subject to product availability
- An order is only accepted once we send you an order confirmation email; this forms a contract between us
- We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable, we suspect fraud, or there has been a pricing error; if we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund
- Please check your order details, delivery address and any personalisation carefully before submitting, as bespoke items cannot easily be amended once production has begun
Pricing and payment
- All prices are shown in GBP and are correct at the time of publishing, but may change without notice
- Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering, via our secure payment provider (Shopify Payments/Stripe); we do not store your card details
- In the unlikely event of a pricing error, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price
Your right to cancel, bespoke and perishable goods
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the standard 14-day right to cancel an online order does not apply to goods that are made to your specification or clearly personalised, or that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. As our biscuits and cakes are handmade to order and perishable, this means once production has started, orders generally cannot be cancelled for a refund except where the item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described (see "Returns, refunds and faulty items" below).
- If you wish to cancel or amend an order, contact us as soon as possible at info@boujonbakery.co.uk, we will always try to help where production has not yet begun
Delivery and collection
- We currently deliver within the UK; delivery costs and estimated timeframes are shown at checkout
- It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address and to ensure someone is available to receive perishable items; we are not responsible for delays or issues caused by incorrect address details
- Risk in the products passes to you once they have been delivered to the address provided
- If collection is offered, collection times will need to be confirmed by email
Corporate and bulk biscuits
- Corporate, event and bulk biscuit orders are quoted separately from standard website orders. A written quote (by email) confirming quantity, design, price and lead time must be agreed before we begin production
- Minimum order quantities and lead times apply to corporate orders and will be confirmed at the time of quoting; during peak periods (for example Christmas) longer lead times may be required
- For orders over £150, we may require a non-refundable deposit of 20% to secure your order, with the balance due before dispatch or collection
- Where branding or a logo is requested, you must supply clear, high-resolution artwork in PNG or JPEG
- Hand-iced branding cannot guarantee an exact colour or Pantone match to your brand guidelines, due to the nature of creating colours by hand
- Once artwork has been approved and production has started, corporate orders cannot be cancelled or amended
- You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, any logo, trademark or image you ask us to reproduce, and you agree to cover any costs or claims we face if this is not the case
Personalised biscuits
- "Personalised" means any bespoke order featuring a name, message, initials, date, custom photo/image, or bespoke colour scheme requested by you for a specific occasion that is not already listed on our website
- As set out in the cancellation section of these Terms, personalised items are made to your specification, and our standard 14-day cancellation right does not apply once production has begun
- Hand-piped designs may vary slightly from original images sent to us as each biscuit is iced by hand
- You confirm you have the right to use any photo, image or logo you ask us to reproduce. We reserve the right to decline any request that infringes copyright or trademark, or that we consider inappropriate or offensive
- For personalised orders needed by a specific date (birthdays, weddings, etc.), please allow sufficient lead time when ordering; we are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or events outside our control, but we will always do our best to help
Decorating classes
- Class places are secured on payment in full at the time of booking through our website
- Cancelling your booking: if you cancel 14 or more days before your class, you will receive a full refund; between 7 and 13 days before, a 50% refund; less than 7 days before, we are unable to offer a refund, as ingredients and materials will already be prepared
- Rescheduling to another available date, rather than cancelling, may be possible, contact us as early as you can at info@boujonbakery.co.uk
- If we need to cancel or reschedule a class (for example due to illness or insufficient bookings), we will offer you a full refund or an alternative date
- Please tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements for you or your group at the time of booking, as classes involve handling food and ingredients
- We have a varying minimum age requirement depending on our class themes so make sure to check this before booking
Returns, refunds and faulty items
- Because our products are fresh, handmade and perishable, we are unable to accept returns
- If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, please contact us at info@boujonbakery.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and a photo of the item, and we will offer a replacement or refund as appropriate
- This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality
Subscriptions – Small Set Box, Big Set Box and DIY Decorating Kits
- Our Small Set Biscuit Boxes, Big Set Biscuit Boxes and DIY Decorating Kits are available as prepaid subscription plans of 3, 6 or 12 months. You choose your plan length and pay the full amount upfront at checkout; subscriptions are not billed monthly and are not available as a one-off purchase
- Delivery is included free of charge as part of your plan price
- Because your plan is paid in full upfront, subscriptions cannot be paused, skipped or cancelled once purchased. Please choose your plan length carefully before completing your order
- Each box or kit is dispatched towards the end of the first week of each month for the duration of your plan, and is otherwise subject to the delivery terms in the "Delivery and collection" section above
- DIY Decorating Kits contain undecorated biscuits and consumable decorating items (icing and sprinkles) for you to finish at home. Please follow the storage and use-by guidance included with your kit and consume finished biscuits within 3 weeks for freshness and food safety
- As with our other products, kits are made in a kitchen that handles nuts, gluten, dairy, egg and other allergens, see the "Allergen and ingredient information" section above. Kits are not suitable for young children to use unsupervised, due to small decorations and food handling involved
- Because each box or kit is fresh, perishable, and dispatched specifically for you, our standard 14-day cancellation right does not apply once your plan's first box has been dispatched (see "Your right to cancel" above)

- Our total liability to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, which cannot be limited under English law
Events outside our control
We will not be responsible for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as adverse weather, courier delays, illness, or supply shortages.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about your order, a class, or our service, please contact us in the first instance at info@boujonbakery.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve it promptly.
